Submission Categories
You may submit works for the art show in three categories.
1. Fine Arts/Graphic Arts
All projects must have a mental health awareness theme.
- Examples include, but not limited to painting, drawing, computerized graphic design, collages, etc. All submissions must be turned in by April 17. You can turn in projects at Hope Harbor Counseling by arranging a drop off time with Dawn Irons via email.
- A special feature of the art show is our ANONYMOUS PROJECT.
-
- This project allows people to get an issue off their chest in a creative way. This may be a secret, a struggle, a celebration, a confession, etc… Many have done this on a post card size piece of art, or a size that can be anonymously mailed to our office (or dropped off in our mailbox.)
- Examples of this can be found at www.postsecret.com. Please be aware we cannot guarantee the suitability of content on this site for children because we do not control the website. However, this site is the model for what we are looking for with a MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS theme.
- It is often said, “You are only as sick as your secrets.” Get it off your chest and you will feel lighter for saying out loud--- and remain anonymous!
- Submissions for the anonymous project can be mailed to our office along with your complete name and contact info to:
