Christine Balla Graduate Associate Counselor
My Story
Mind. Body. Spirit
Hello! My name is Christine Balla Graduate Associate Counselor, and my story is one of faith, resilience, healing, and discovering purpose through life's challenges.
I grew up in Africa and later moved to the United States in search of safety, opportunity, and a better future. Here, I built a new life, got married, and became the proud mother of three wonderful children. My children have been my greatest source of strength and inspiration, helping me navigate difficult seasons and transform pain into purpose.
Like many people, I have felt the devastating effects of domestic violence. After going through abuse and its emotional toll, my children and I started the hard journey of healing and rebuilding our lives. As a survivor and now a divorced mother of three, I know the fear, confusion, isolation, and loss of self-worth that often come with abusive relationships.
Instead of letting those experiences define me, I decided to let them shape my purpose.
Finding My Calling
My own journey gave me a strong passion for helping others heal. I am committed to supporting people and families as they rebuild confidence, rediscover their worth, and move forward with hope. I know healing takes courage, and I believe everyone deserves compassion, understanding, and real support along the way.
After earning my bachelor’s degree, I volunteered with Sober Living Inc. There, I worked with people in recovery seeking to regain independence and stability. I helped clients set SMART goals, use relapse-prevention strategies, and work through the 12-Step Recovery Program. Seeing people reclaim their lives showed me that growth, healing, and transformation are always possible.
Christine Balla-My Approach
My counseling is based on empathy, faith, and real human connection. I work to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether someone is facing trauma, relationship problems, life changes, recovery, or struggles with self-worth, I am committed to walking with them as they seek healing and personal growth.
I believe that emotional healing and spiritual growth often go hand in hand, helping people build new confidence, resilience, and purpose.
Looking Forward
Today, my mission is to help others find hope in tough times and discover the strength they already have inside. I feel honored to support clients as they heal from past wounds, overcome challenges, and build meaningful lives for themselves and their families.
As I continue this journey, I hold on to the belief that God can bring beauty from brokenness and purpose from pain.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3
